Assalamualaikum w.b.t :)

Hey there! There's something i feel like sharing  with you people out there regarding about giving salam. I've attended a talked held in my Uni last 3 weeks and the talk was given by Sheikh Abdulbary Yahya from Washington DC. The talk was about 'Love for the Sake of Allah' and he'd mention a lot about loving and caring for other just for the sake of Allah. And here i would like to share some of the points that i totally agreed on when he mentioned in on that day.

Do you actually give salam to the people that walks right next to you?Would it harm you to give salam to a muslim? Would it cost you anything by giving a salam to a muslim? Why am i asking these such things is because, nowadays most people would only give salam to the people they know or they recognize. What about the others? Our brothers and sisters who are muslims? Shouldn't we greet them by giving salam?

Abu Hurairah (ra) related that Rasulullah (saw) said, "You shall not enter Heaven unless you have Faith and your Faith is not complete until you show love towards one another. Would you want me to show you how you can achieve this? Shower your Salam upon one another."

When we give a salam to another muslim, and the other muslim answers it,we are actually praying for each others peace in life. By that our relationship will become closer. See! You're not only creating a bond and making friends but you're also gaining deeds by giving a salam. Don't wait for others to greet you, you gotta start it first.

Abu Hurairah(ra) related that Rasulullah (saw) said, "Let the one who is driving give salam to the one walking; let the one who is walking give the salam to the one sitting; let those who are small in number (or alone) give salam to those who are in a larger group and let the younger one give salam to the elderly."

Give salam to others. do it for the sake of Allah. For the girls, i know most of the guys would give a salam to tackle right? Whether his intention is good or bad, just answer him for the sake of Allah. Who knows you might end up being with him for the rest of your life. hehe. owh and there's also one thing i would like to share here. Sheikh Abdulbary did also said about giving gifts to our love ones.

Aishah(ra) related, "Rasuluallah(saw) received and gave gifts."
To give and receive gifts is a virtue. This practice can make our relationship much closer. Always exchange a gift with a gift. However, we should remember that the value of a gift is not in its price but in the sincerity that goes with it.So here's a tip for you people. Next time when you enter a mall or a store bare it in your mind that you will by something for someone. it doesn't even matter whether it's for your family or friends, just buy one and give it to them. What would you feel if you get an unexpected gift from a friend? Surprise? Happy? Speechless? Think about it. if it were me, i would be smiling the whole day. haha. Make someone happy and you'll be happy too :)

hey you! I LOVE YOU! for the sake of Allah *winkwink :)
